DEF LEPPARD Bassist Donating Clothing For Charity; New Auction Announced
February 15, 2008DEF LEPPARD's official web site, DefLeppard.com, is auctioning off authentic pieces of outfits that the group's bassist, Rick Savage, wore on stage during many shows on the band's tours in 2005, 2006 and 2007. A total of nine items will be auctioned (one item a week),including jeans, shirts, and vests.
The last auction is now online, consisting of a pair of black velvet pants, worn mostly during DEF LEPPARD's 2007 "Yeah!" tour. The jeans are not in very good condition due to heavy use and some wear that was done to it on purpose for cosmetic reasons, and comes with a personal, hand-written thank you note from Savage.
All proceeds of this auction will go to the Sheffield Children's Hospital and Help A Hallam Child, Rick's choice of charities.
